Say what!

PLAYING SOLITARY

Upon moving to our new place my 5 year
old son Brice, complained about not having any
friends to play with. My husband told him it would not
take him long to make new friends, but that in the
mean time,he would need to play by himself, while we
unpacked. A few days later, Brice was in the front yard
tossing a ball around when he saw his dad and I through an
open window and loudly called out, "Look Daddy, I
learned how to play with myself!"

GO FISH

On Mothers day weekend we took Brice, my 6 year
old son fishing. His Nana was baiting his hook
with worms but had switched to shad. (cut up pieces of
fish) When he reeled in his line to recast, he saw the
shad and exclaimed, "Look Nana, I caught half a fish!"

Sweet Logic

On the way into the grocery store awhile back, while walking across the parking lot, my son 5 year old Aidan called to me to wait because he wanted to hold my hand. I was pleased at the opportunity because since he'd started kindergarten he rarely held my hand. He caught up to me and grasped my hand and in a small breathless voice he said, "this way if we get hit by a car we can die together." My heart sank a little and I was rendered speechless. Later that night during his bath I asked him why he had said that and with out missing a beat he said, "because Mom that way we can go to God together". I am definitely humbled by such sweet logic
